Since 2014 Crow Wing County Master Gardeners have guided new gardeners in basic vegetable, fruit, and native wildflower growing at the Northland Arboretum’s ‘Gardening 101’ Gardens. Participants attend weekly classes from early June through August, with classroom instruction and hands-on gardening. In 2025, 15 youths and 26 adults are enrolled.  Since 2021, 60 youth and 91 adults have attended the class.  Thirteen adult students have even become Master Gardeners!
